13 companies have been honoured as “Attractive Employer in the District of Warendorf 2022”. The municipal company for business development in the district of Warendorf had once again organised the competition, in which more than 60 companies had entered in various categories. A four-member jury with representatives from industry, trade, crafts and labour administration decided on the awards. District Administrator and gfw Supervisory Board Chairman Dr Olaf Gericke paid tribute to all the companies that took part in the competition. “By no means are those who are not honoured losers. Every company that dares to take part in this competition is a winner.”

The mayors from the twelve cities and municipalities from which the award-winning companies originate recognised their achievements and successes as attractive employers. Prof. Dr Gunther Olesch, honoured as Human Resource Manager 2020 and 2021, spoke about “Excellent HR work and leadership culture” in his presentation. According to gfw Managing Director Petra Michalczak-Hülsmann, the “Attractive Employer” competition was primarily about flexible working hours and work location rules, work-life balance, company health management, company suggestion schemes, open corporate communication and generation and talent management. Digitalisation and dealing with current developments in general are becoming increasingly important.
