How do I install the new Siemens licence service and activate a new licence file?

From NX2212 onwards, the new Siemens Licence Server software is required. This software provides licences for NX, Solid Edge, Teamcenter, Polarion and other Siemens programmes.

You can obtain a download link for the new licence service by emailing us at service@duh-group.com or via the Siemens portal.

Once the download is complete, launch the

and follow the setup steps.

Please note the port used during installation.

Furthermore, the installer will detect an existing installation of an ‘old’ licence service and update both the service and the licence.

The installer can also be used to import a new licence; to do this, simply run the installer again and follow the setup steps.

Access to software, downloads and licences

Set up a Siemens WebKey account

All access to software and permanent licences is provided through a Siemens WebKey account. It is therefore very important that you create your own WebKey account.

Go to https://www2.industrysoftware.automation.siemens.com/webkey/ and select “Create account”.

Next, enter the relevant information in the form shown.

The most important details are the SoldTo ID and the WebKey Access Code, which you can find in your licence file.
