enercity, in collaboration with d.u.h.Group, has developed the NetzPortal as a platform with the aim of delivering regulatory and operational processes in a scalable, digital and service-oriented manner.

The enercity NetzPortal (eNP) is the central point of access for residential customers and installers. It brings together various services such as PV registration, property connection processes, consumption data, and document and communication functions.

The platform-based approach ensures that new services can be added at any time without having to rebuild the portal from scratch each time. With Mendix as the technological foundation, rapid, agile implementation is possible.

The result is a scalable portal architecture with end-to-end processes, from registration to commissioning, for both residential customers and installers.

What happens next?

The NetzPortal is designed as a platform, which is why its development does not end with the go-live. The roadmap includes further services, optimisations and new value-added features for users. There are already further ideas and features in the pipeline that will gradually expand the eNP, both for private customers and for installers. The focus is on even greater end-to-end digitalisation, greater transparency in the process and improved user guidance.

Particularly exciting: promising approaches are currently emerging in the field of Agentic AI to provide smarter support for tasks within the portal in future, e.g. through proactive notifications, automated preliminary checks, context-based recommendations and assisted process steps. In short: more automation, less friction, greater speed.
