Focus on Engineering AI: The 2026 Kick-off

The annual d.u.h.Group Kick-off 2026 in Melle marked the strategic start to a groundbreaking financial year. Two intensive days were entirely devoted to digitalisation, engineering AI and sustainable growth. Together with partners from Siemens Digital Industries Software, the course was set for the future of product development.
Siemens & d.u.h.Group: A strong partnership for industry
The event was opened by the d.u.h.Group’s management team and featured an exclusive presentation by Ralf Schumacher (VP Siemens Global and Emerging Industries DACH). He identified the d.u.h.Group as one of the fastest-growing Siemens partners in Germany and provided in-depth insights into Siemens’ global strategy.
The technological roadmap focused on:
-
Engineering AI & AI Fabric: The next stage of artificial intelligence in engineering.
-
Digital Thread & Digital Thread Agents: End-to-end data flows for efficient development processes.
-
Smart Automation: Optimisation of the entire value chain.
Deep Dive: Saving time with Solid Edge & modern CAD solutions
A technical highlight was the Deep Dive with Nick Rakkar (Director of EMEA Business Development Design Centre at Siemens Digital Industries Software). Using Solid Edge as an example, he demonstrated how modern CAD solutions are revolutionising day-to-day work. The practical assessment, based on specific use cases, showed that engineers can save up to 90 minutes a day through optimised workflows with Solid Edge – valuable time that can be channelled into genuine innovation.
AI simulation with Altair
Another key focus was the discussion with Michael Aarold (Partner Development Executive, EMEA) on the topic of AI simulation and the capabilities of Altair software. It became clear how Altair solves specific problems for both SMEs and large enterprises. This was impressively illustrated using exciting use cases from the automotive and aerospace industries.

Strategy & Marketing: Ideas for 2026
The afternoon was devoted to the internal roadmap. Alongside portfolio highlights and new product launches for 2026, the focus was on developing opportunities. We held in-depth discussions on how to drive forward our product development, engineering, simulation, training, manufacturing and low-code divisions in a targeted manner.
Together with the Business Efficiency Team, we explored how AI-supported, systematic sales processes can maximise customer value. The marketing team also presented the upcoming events for 2026 and demonstrated how AI tools such as Siemens GPT can make day-to-day work easier.
Day 1 came to an inspiring close with a keynote speech by former professional footballer and football coach Frank Geideck. He applied principles of success from top-level sport – such as focus, discipline and mental strength – to everyday business life and teamwork.

Corporate Culture & Growth Mindset
Day 2 was entirely devoted to cultural transformation. Prof. Dr Wolfgang Jenewein (an expert in cultural transformation and coaching) kicked off a workshop on the growth mindset with his keynote address, ‘What champions do differently’. The aim is to further strengthen the d.u.h.Group’s corporate culture as a sustainable driver of innovation.
To conclude, the results and objectives were summarised. We can now look back on a successful kick-off and are highly motivated for 2026 and new shared successes!
