German Design Award 2026 for REMKO WKM Pro

When technology and design are consistently considered together, the result is a product that not only impresses in terms of functionality but also visibly conveys quality. This is precisely what REMKO’s WKM Pro monoblock heat pump demonstrates: it was awarded the German Design Award 2026 in the Energy category.

The project centred on a single goal: to develop a compact, efficient and environmentally friendly heat pump that stands out clearly in terms of both technology and design. The WKM Pro is based on the monoblock principle, in which all relevant technical components are integrated into a hermetically sealed external module. This simplifies installation and creates a robust, service-friendly system solution.

In parallel, the exterior design was developed in collaboration with the d.u.h.Group. The geometrically clean design language and precise lines highlight the technical expertise and reinforce the modular product logic. Computer-aided engineering (CAE) played a central role in this process, ensuring that design and technical decisions were well-founded and aligning the overall concept with efficiency, functionality and user comfort.
