For over 45 years, REMKO has been synonymous with quality in the field of heating and air-conditioning technology. As one of the leading suppliers of heat pumps, warm-air heating systems and air-conditioning systems, the objective was clear: an innovative, modular heat pump design that not only impresses from a technical perspective but also sets new standards in terms of appearance with its distinctive injection-moulded front panel.
The challenge: to develop a system that combines design, functionality and production requirements – including improved efficiency through CAE-supported flow simulation, optimised airflow and reduced noise levels.

With a view to strategically expanding its product range, REMKO planned to develop a new air-to-water heat pump.

Design, acoustics and simulation perfectly combined
The d.u.h.Group’s design and simulation team worked with REMKO to develop a heat pump concept that cleverly combines technical requirements with aesthetic considerations. The aim was to achieve a precise interplay of form, function and performance – perfectly tailored to the market, production and user comfort.

The market launch was just the beginning: the WKM Pro monoblock heat pump was awarded the German Design Award 2026 in the Energy category. The exterior design was developed in collaboration with the d.u.h.Group and combines clean lines with technical functionality and sustainable system logic.
